MOWA - Massive Overkill Wiring Accessories
There are two reasons to consider MOWA. The first is to accommodate your increasing electrical load (stereo, additional lights) possibly in conjunction with an upgrade to a more powerful alternator. The second reason is to eliminate increasing resistance that accumulates in the wires over time. A voltage drop of 1-3 Volt between the alternator and battery or between the battery negative and chassis ground is not unheard of on older cars. This robs the battery of its needed charge, and robs all electrical appliances of the power they need.
