We offer multiple "Stage" levels to choose from, which allows you to select the perfect clutch package for your special needs. We also offer SPEC lightweight aluminum flywheels as an option for those seeking more sensitive throttle response and quick engine rpm "spool-up".
Stage 1 clutches use a modified pressure plate, organic disc material, and a sprung hub center on the disc.
Stage 2 clutches use a modified pressure plate, Kevlar fiber material in a segmented face cut, and a sprung hub center on the disc.
Stage 3 clutches use a modified pressure plate, carbon or ceramic material in a multiple "puck" configuration, and a sprung hub center on the disc.
Stage 4 & 5 clutches vary in configuration, depending on application.
All SPEC clutches include a new release bearing and installation alignment tool, where applicable. We also offer new OEM flywheel bolts, pressure plate bolts, and pilot bearings. SPEC billet aluminum flywheels are CNC machined and exceed SFI standards for high stress racing applications. These units are recommended for highly modified street or racing vehicles, and for mildly modified street cars that can benefit from reduced rotating mass without the loss of daily drivability. Consult a New Dimensions sales specialist for recommendations on your specific needs. The body of the flywheel is made of tempered aluminums, either 6061 T6 or 2024 T3, for ultimate strength and lightest possible weight. The 1/4 inch thick friction plate is a 1050 high-carbon alloy, for incredible durability with any friction disc material, even iron. The plates are secured to the body by aerospace fasteners or stainless steel rivets, depending on the application. These fasteners were chosen because of their exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. The ring gears are pressed on and secured with grade 10 fasteners. The starter ring gear is also heat treated for longevity. Some applications come with a timing ring built into the assembly (i.e. Audi 2.7T application). Don't settle for less, get the best.
