1. Print a copy of the drawing and check dimensions both vertically and horizontally to confirm it has printed to scale.
2. Make a rough cut of the drawing just outside the dotted line
3. Glueing the drawing to a stiffer piece of material such as a manila folder will make the template easier to use. Finish cutting directly along the dotted line.
4. Lay the template inside the wheel as shown.
5. Verify that edge of the caliper does not touch the rim. A minimum of 2mm (0.080") is recommended.
If there is an interference, different wheels, or a wheel spacer will be necessary. Any use of a wheel spacer is at the discretion of the vehicle owner. Typically a spacer up to 2 or 3mm will not adversely effect the vehicle. Wheel spacer issues including, but not limited to, fender clearance, proper wheel bolt or stud length, the effect a spacer may have on vehicle handling, centering of the wheel etc. must to be addressed before utilizing a spacer. StopTech is not responsible for wheel fitment or the use of wheel spacers with our big brake upgrades.
